The video is about Justin Bieber
going to a bowling ally with a group of friends. He meets a girl who
appears to be his girlfriend and the video is the relationship between
them where it starts off him being rejected by the girl but by the end
of the video he gets together with her and they walk off happily.
The
music would defiantly be considered in the pop genre. It is similar to
music you would hear from pop boy bands such as One Direction and other
young male solo artists such as Chris Brown.
The target
audience is children/teenagers aged around 13-16 specifically the
female population of this age group. Most his fans are girls who are in
love with Justin Bieber.
A generic convention that is
used in video is having a story as part of the video but then cutting to
the artist performing, in this case dancing and singing.
Another
convention that is used in a lot of videos not just in pop music is
dancing, there are parts of the video where we can see dancing such as
him in the cut scenes and the dance battle. This is a generic convention
for a majority music videos however it does appeal to genre and target
audience in the way they are dancing. Such as break dancing is a dance
style you would expect more and would appeal more to a younger
generation.

The
